Back to school for Term 3

We hope you had a lovely break and enjoyed spending time with your families.

Before the end of Term 2, your child’s Semester 1 report was published on the Parent Portal. It was a pleasure for us to write these as it highlighted the many strengths and achievements all of the children have obtained during the first half of the year. Please take the time to read these reports as these will be discussed further at the Parent Teacher Interviews, held in week 3. See the school newsletter from the 21st June for instructions on how to access your child’s report and book an interview.

In our classrooms this week, we have been going over the expectations and routines of each session. In Reading, we have revisited what a ‘Just Right Book’ is and made some great choices of books to include in our Independent Reading Boxes. In Maths, we have been learning about estimating and how to use our maths skills to make good estimations/guesses.

This term, our Inquiry topic is ‘How have toys changed?’ and we will also be looking at how things move. If you have any old toys at home that you wouldn’t mind bringing to show the children that would be fantastic. We are also after any toy catalogues for later in the term.

Looking forward to another great term!
