Week 6 in Prep

Although we were all excited to be at school on Wednesdays now, it was still a short week with Friday being a student free day.

During our four days this week, we learnt all about the sounds /d/, /r/ and /i/. We made a dinosaur out of  a lowercase d, and used our developing fine motor skills to cover an igloo with white crepe paper. R is for rainbow and for this we watched the colours come off Skittles during a science experiment. This was certainly a highlight for all of the classes!

This week, we also became superheroes, with our special power – LEARNING! We have looked at what good thoughts we can have as we are learning, such as ‘I can keep trying or I will try something else and not give up’.

Our Prep learning superheroes always try their best, work hard, solve problems, be positive, learn from their mistakes and give everything a go.

Thank you to those who came to the Prep Picnic on Thursday, it was great to catch up with you all and see families get together.

What a fun week!

Reminders: Next Thursday and Friday are school photo days. We will know when each class is having their photo taken shortly. Please send the order form back on or by Thursday.
